Twenty-One children of our Parish were preparing for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist right since June 2013 with regular preparatory classes, a special Mass, intensive practice sessions and on 12th January 2014, twenty of them received Jesus for the first time at the 9.30 am mass, which was celebrated by Fr. Leon and con-celebrated by Fr. Cleophas. Blake who received the sacrament on 2nd Jan ’14 joined his companions on their big day as one of the participants.

The homily was preached by Fr. Cleo who explained in a very interesting manner the Baptism of Jesus in the river Jordan. His constant and thought provoking questions held the attention of all those present. The participation of the children throughout the Mass, like little angels in their white suits and dresses made the celebration special. Fr. Clement and Fr. Roque blessed the children and gave them their Rosaries, Scapulars, Bible and Certificates.

Our faith journey begins the day we are baptised and our children have completed yet another step in their faith journey. We wish them all the best in this journey of knowing Jesus, making Him their best friend and becoming more like Him. We also pray that Jesus the Bread of life and cup of Eternal Salvation, will always nourish their faith. Congratulations Children………….. grow in the peace & love of Jesus.
